Banca Valsabbina successfully finalizes the sale of a Portfolio of Unsecured Personal Loans through the Digital Marketplace Debitos
Banca Valsabbina, a historic Italian banking institution, announces that it has successfully completed the sale of a portfolio of unsecured personal loans, consisting of 111 positions, for a significant total value. The transaction was finalised through the digital marketplace Debitos, a European leader in trading distressed debts and real estate assets.
The portfolio was divided into three size segments, small, medium, and large, and includes loans distributed geographically across Northern, Central, and Southern Italy, with a predominance in the North. Thanks to the doLook platform, developed by Debitos in partnership with doValue in 2020 specifically for the Italian market, the transaction was completed within a few weeks.
The entire process, which started at the end of June, was conducted quickly and transparently thanks to the flexibility and advanced features of Debitos, such as VDR Text Search, Q&A area, and NDA management, which enabled the operation to be finalized in a very short time, confirming once again the effectiveness of the marketplace.
Compared to traditional offline sales methods, the platform could significantly speed up the process and facilitate due diligence and valuation processes, which were supported by intensive Q&A activity by investors in the dataroom. This demonstrates the efficiency of the Debitos platform and the substantial interest of investors in this transaction.
Debitos has successfully traded over €1.3 billion in GBV on the doLook platform since its inception and has handled up to €10 billion in loans across 16 Countries since Debitos was founded in Frankfurt in 2010. With over 2.000 registered investors from across Europe, Debitos is driving the growth and liquidity of the secondary credit market. The company recently announced the launch of its new advanced search service within datarooms powered by Artificial Intelligence. This innovative feature will be available within its premium subscription plans for buyers and sellers, further enriching the value Debitos provides.
Debitos continues to strengthen its position as the go-to platform for managing and selling non-performing loans in both the primary and secondary markets across Europe. Particularly strong in Italy, where it currently has around 3.000 auctions available for sale, the platform reaffirms its leadership role as Europe’s top marketplace for loan transactions.
